For Children   Children from infants to age 3 are cared for in our well-equipped nursery by a paid staff member and a trained youth volunteer.  Children from pre-school age to 6th grade attend the first part of the worship (about 10-15 minutes) and leave for the classes after the Children's Time.  We offer Sunday School for our pre-school children using the Godly Play curriculum (www.godlyplay.org).  For our kindergarten - 6th graders, we offer Sunday School using Seasons of the Spirit curriculum (www.spiritseasons.com). Youth (7th-12 grade) are welcome to remain in the worship service or volunteer in our nursery.

For Youth   Youth from 7th grade through 12th grade participate in a weekly Youth Group as part of "Wednesday Nights at Olivet."  Their activities include religious education with a strong community service orientation, including a biennial Mission Trip as well as support of St. Paul food shelves and other community services. Youth raise money for their biennial mission trip with Sunday coffee bean sales and doughnut sales on Sunday morning along with other fund raising events throughout the year.    To register a youth for Youth Group participation, please print out this form and return to the church office.  (Sarah presides over the coffee bean table.)

Young people ages 13-14 may participate in a year-long Confirmation program.  They meet weekly with the pastor for Christian education and work closely with an adult mentor from the congregation to develop their own statements of belief.  They present their statements during a spring Confirmation ceremony, followed by a celebration in the church Fellowship Hall. (2010 Mentor Adam and Confirmand Sami.)

For Adults   Adults of all ages participate in spiritual development offerings as part of "Wednesday Nights at Olivet," and other programs offered to meet their special needs.  A monthly "Olivet Movie Night" includes pre-movie potluck appetizers, followed by a DVD viewing and discussion of  a substantive feature film, and dessert.  During Lent, Olivetians may attend weekly Friday breakfasts that include reflection with Olivet's minister and a shared meal.
